Bandsaw/jewelry box made from mahogany and buckeye burl

Sorry, this item has sold.

A lovely box that will last lifetime's. I used some mahogany I salvaged from a second story outdoor deck during a home remodel in Margate NJ. I was told by some co workers to not waste my time with them but just a few passes through the planer and years of weathering was peeled away leaving behind some gorgeous figure and top grade lumber. I paired the salvaged mahogany with buckeye burl drawer fronts and created another one of a kind piece of functional art that will look wonderful in your home or make a great gift for a loved one. The box measures 9 and 3 quarter inches tall x 12 inches wide x 7 and a half inches deep. The drawers are flocked in a dark pink custom color I created and is shown in the pictures and they are securely attached. The box weighs 12 pounds and is finished in semi gloss lacquer and wet sanded to perfection.

This is such a beautiful bandsaw jewelry box. My favorite so far, as this is my second purchase from Joseph. I've searched Etsy and the internet and Joseph's quality of work, and the mixture of woods cannot be surpassed. His shop has become one of my few favorites and I will surely purchase more of his works of art.
