This board is a little eccentric as chess boards go but has a great look nonetheless. I used red oak and maple for the squares which measures 1 and 3 quarter inches and they are wrapped in a black walnut inlay. I finished the board in high gloss polyurethane to last a lifetime. Chess pieces are not included.
